Oak Alley is probably the most famous plantation in the world, mostly because of its incredible landscaping. It was used as the backdrop for Interview With A Vampire and dozens of other movies.

 

Although the trees were magnificent, they paled in comparison to the squirrels. To compensate for the massive oaks, the squirrels needed to be bigger in order to handle the larger nuts. You might think I'm kidding, but I saw one squirrel that was the size of a puma . . . Shortly after this photo was taken, a tourist from Maine was mauled.
