Oak
Alley is probably the most famous plantation in the world, mostly because of its
incredible landscaping. It was used as the backdrop for Interview
With A Vampire and dozens of other movies. Although
the trees were magnificent, they paled in comparison to the squirrels. To
compensate for the massive oaks, the squirrels needed to be bigger in order
to handle the larger nuts. You might think I'm kidding, but I saw one squirrel
that was the size of a puma . . . Shortly after this photo was taken, a tourist
from Maine was mauled. |
