This is from my senior year at Indiana High School where I anchored the line on a team that won back-to-back CENPAC championships. At the time, I weighed close to 260 pounds and was being recruited by Notre Dame, Penn State, Miami, and dozens of other schools (including several from the Ivy League.) However, after careful consideration, I decided to follow my father’s footsteps and attend the University of Pittsburgh.

While at Pitt, I played with future NFL stars Tony Siragusa, Jeff Christy, Mark Stepnoski, “Ironhead” Heyward, and Marc Spindler. Unfortunately, a freak foot injury ended my athletic career. (That, and a severe lack of talent.)
